Engine Room        ‘Volvo” TAMD71B rated 286 hp continuos.  ‘GAC’ electronic engine governing coupled to electronic 3 station controls.  Driving through IRM280PL gearbox, 70mm SAF 2205 double tapered propeller shaft mounted on cast 316 stainless steel ‘P’ bracket via ‘Aquadrive’ silent thrust coupling including CV jointed jack shaft, Disc shaft brake with custom auto release hydraulic calliper.  ‘Autoprop’ custom self-pitching / auto feathering 3 bladed propeller.  ‘Soundown’ custom dry exhaust system venting to both sides of vessel, independent waterlocks and separators for all machinery.  Custom stainless steel 100 mm inlet sea chest for all raw water requirements.  4700 ltrs Diesel fuel capacity in two tack-able 1100 litres composite tanks with transfer pump and one 2,500 litre stainless steel keel foil tank all pumped via 40 litre day tank and individual ‘CAV’ separator / filters.

ELECTRICAL           2 x ‘Fischer Panda’ 16KVA 240/415 – volt auto start Gensets with cross switching back-up capability.  16 ‘Sonnenschein’ 280amp/hr gel cell house supply batteries giving 18hrs silent operation via 6KVA invertor.  9KVA shore-power invertor.  ‘Crestron’ custom remote entertainment and lighting control system.  Full vessel status alarm system.

THRUSTERS            ‘Lewmar’ 30hp Vertical retract hydraulic bow thruster in forward watertight collision compartment.  ‘Lewmar’ 30hp Folding retract hydraulic stern thruster aft under sole.  Automatic thruster supply operation via self-stroking 135hp hydraulic pump direct coupled to main engine.  (Thruster operation available at any engine revolutions).

HYDRAULICS          ‘Lewmar’ commander 400 litre 24 volt custom system servicing all on

& SAIL HANDLING   board requirements, including 2 ‘Nilson’ captive sheet winches with tensioner, 1 ‘Nilson’ captive main halyard winch with tensioner all located in galley bilge area.  ‘Southern Spars’ rig including hydraulic rollaway furling boom with tender hoist extension to suite ‘Zodiac’ 3.3 meter centre consol tender with 35hp Johnson outboard.                ‘Reckmann’ headsail furler, 2 size 88 ‘Lewmar’ GPS / Mooring winches located under removable coaming covers in cockpit area.  2 size 77 ‘Lewmar’ general purpose halyard winches located in forward hard deck locker.  Hydraulic boom vang, hydraulic stow-able inner forestay, hydraulically lifted 300 litre under floor freezer with S/S drawers in galley, hydraulic raise and lower control to convertible cockpit table, hydraulic retraction to dive/boarding stern platform and hydraulic main emergency bilge pump system.  Emergency backup capability by gensets mounted direct drive secondary hydraulic pump as well as secondary backup via main engine thruster pump.

MOORING               Dual ‘Higwood’ stainless steel CQR anchors mounted in custom stainless steel anchor launching systems, 2 x 100 meter 12 mm tested chain with 2 x 10 meter 12 mm stainless steel tails.  Dual ‘Muir’ VR4000 hydraulic chain gypsies with secondary slave gypsies for automatic midships bilge chain stowage in third watertight compartment.  Dialup operating system at steering stations, automatic high-pressure chain wash.  Six drop down 200mm deck cleats, eight custom rail mounted fairleads.

PLUMBING              3000 litre fresh water capacity per side in two tack-able composite integral ballast tanks, cross linked with consol operated electric valving to allow full ballast transfer in 24 seconds @ 17 deg AOH with full size cross vessel ventilation.  240 volt transfer pumps with auto cut out for top-up or full tank transfer capability in 4 minutes.  107 litre 54 kw hot water system with engine heat coil.  2 complete house water supply systems with accumulators, cross-linked for emergency supply.  3000 litres per day ‘Sea Recovery’ watermaker.  Fresh water deck wash.  Dedicated raw water high pressure fire pump.  2 x 40 litre auto discharge grey-water tanks.  2 x 210 litre black water tanks with individual discharge pumps.  ‘Tank Tender’ to all fluid storage tanks.  Primary 240 volt fully plumbed bilge pump system, secondary 24 volt float switched system to all wet bilge area.

REFRIGERATION      Galley underfloor freezer (see hydraulics).  Refrigerated 105 litre under seat bottle chiller in breakfast area.  Full size ‘fridge over freezer’ in galley.  Compact ‘Marvel’ refrigerator with icemaker in cockpit locker.

STEERING               Composite rudder blade on 316 stainless steel stock.  Ceramic coated SAF 2205 custom bearings in 316 housing.  Redundant ram dual station ‘Hydrive’ hydraulic steering system with ‘Coursemaster’ hydraulic autopilot.

FIRE PROTECTION   ‘Chubb’ manual triggered SM2000 fire flood system to engine room.  ‘Chubb’ individual extinguishers to all accommodation areas.

INSULATION           ‘Pyrotec’ 100mm metal covered multi layer insulation to engine room, all equipment in engine room including linings on full suspension mounts.  Insulation to all slamming and equipment areas.  All sole areas full float mounted on 10 mm polyurethane.

STORAGE                Containerised storage in stainless steel racking secondary         watertight bilge compartment under VIP cabin sole.

DIVE EQUIPMENT    Five bottle storage compartment and ‘Compare’ 2 bottle dive compressor in lazarette.

OTHER EQUIPMENT  ‘Bendix’ washer / dryer in laundry cupboard forward companionway.  Drawer unit sink in built-in BBQ area / gas storage locker in cockpit.  ‘Speich’ individual control full screen wipers.  All custom glass by ‘Tilse’ including 19 mm pilothouse toughened laminated screens.  Combination boarding / dive ladder with extension.
