Now operating at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast, Boatspeed’s new multi-million dollar facility and head office is located adjacent to the main freeway 30 minutes north from Sydney. The layout, plant and equipment are specific to High Technology Composite Racing & Luxury Cruising Yacht construction.

The new oven and associated plant allows for vessels to be constructed under total laminate and climate control. The new facility includes safe storage for owner supplied equipment and separate offices for project managers. The large drawing office and boardroom allows for improved client/designer/builder relations. With the increase in size of the facility comes obvious increases in construction capacity, however Boatspeed will continue its personal approach to yacht construction and limit the workload to maintain this ideal. While full size super yacht construction is planned, the aim is to continue with race yacht builds to maintain Boatspeed’s leading role in technological development.

Office Block Ground Floor The ground floor of the office block is 545m2 and includes: The main storeroom is 100m2 to which is attached the time keeping and materials out area ensuring accurate tracking of materials and time. 20m2 de-humidified dry reinforcement & core store. 15m2 de-humidified dry reinforcement cutting room. 12 m2 staff tool room. 67m2 staff amenities including a first aid room, rest rooms and showers. 70 m2 Engineering Shop to which is attached 46m2 of dedicated Owners Safe Storage and a 17m2 hydraulic and plumbing store. The 30m2 paint store is exhausted to outside and is fire proof. Flame proof storage of flammable materials

	Office Block Top Floor The top floor of the air-conditioned office block is 233.66m2. It has been sound proofed from the rest of the facility and has been designed for the client’s comfort and a good working environment for the office staff. Drawing office 30m2, AutoCAD 2000, views onto the wood working area and down onto the facility floor, remote controls for the vacuum pump and thermocouples. 5 Beautifully appointed offices, 2 of which be will be made available for use by the clients project managers. Boardroom Client casual meeting/entertaining area Reception and waiting area. Kitchenette with grill/microwave oven, stainless steel fridge and dishwasher. Marble tiled rest rooms. Archive storage.
